John Neubert holds a degree in History and Political Science. Widowed and retired, he found the time to follow his passion of writing about the injustice and cruelty that is the part of American history often swept under the rug or romanticised.

He hopes this novel will shed some light on the plight suffered by minority groups, including the LGBT community, as well as the African American community.

Although John worked as a journalist and broadcast writer, this is his first novel.
